Biography:

Hisashi Mitsui is a prominent character in the anime series Slam Dunk. He first appears in episode 27 of the anime.

Initially a delinquent, Mitsui's past reveals him as a gifted basketball player in middle school, earning MVP honors. This talent brought him to Shohoku High School, drawn by coach Mitsuyoshi Anzai.

However, an injury and subsequent disillusionment led him to abandon basketball, embracing a life of delinquency. He becomes a source of trouble for the Shohoku basketball team, attempting to sabotage their activities.

Ultimately, Mitsui confronts his past and experiences a powerful redemption. Realizing his love for basketball, he returns to the Shohoku team, becoming a valuable member known for his three-point shooting skills and tenacity. He wears the jersey number #14.
